CERAMICS

Ceramics modelled using an industrial robotic arm.

Robotic modelling is a unique technique that I am currently developing at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology.

With the help of a robot, a near-perfect relief surface can be sculpted. However, I prefer to use the tool/machine trajectory (the touch of the robotic hand) as an aesthetic and conceptual element of the work.

Little Boy Series: In the case of this portrait series, the basis of each relief is a 3D scan of my son. The result is an intimate documentary series focusing on the joys and sorrows of growing up as a young boy (in general), or metaphorically, the joys and sorrows of parenthood.
